Spring Soccer

Johnny played on the "Green Tigers" soccer team this past spring. It was the first time that he has ever played an organized sport and to say that he enjoyed it is a huge understatement. He LOVED every minute of it. He not only had a great time, but he also did really well at it. He made several goals and was an awesome goalie. I have to admit watching those kindergarteners play soccer was way more entertaining than I could have ever expected. We had people sitting down on the field while the game was go on around them, "Wolverine" being told to put up his "claws" by his parent/coach on an opposing team, lots of tears, lots of laughs and never a dull moment. Johnny also now has his much desired trophy (it's sometimes hard having an older brother who gets things before you do, especially when that thing is something like a trophy).

Spring Baseball

Ben had a lot of fun playing baseball this past spring. Thomas helped coach again, which Ben loves and this year he had one of his friends, Jaron, on his team. That always adds to the fun!

Grumbles Grandkid Photo

This year we decided to go to The Picture People to have our annual Grumbles grandkid photo taken.  It was so much easier than trying to do it ourselves and the photos turned out better than I had hoped.  Don't they look great in their matching dresses and shirts (I love that my parents give them that every year for Christmas, along with a toy).  Hard to believe that the photo is already outdated.  We're missing the newest cousin, Kenneth.

Easter 2012

I know that this is a little late. I have a lot of catching up to do on my blog.

Easter Sunday

Someone (Johnny) was very disapponted with what the Easter Bunny brought him, there were tears and everything.  That is until....

....he discovered that he had Ben's basket and not his.

Bluebonnets

For years I've been wanting to have my children's pictures taken with the beautiful Texas bluebonnets, and this year I was finally able to get them. We were so lucky to be able to book a session with Mandie McMurdie to have them done. You should check out her website, http://www.mandiemcmurdie.com/index2.php#/home/, she does incredible work! Here are a few of the photos that were taken.  I love them.  She did such an amazing job, as always. Thank you Mandie!!

I had a canvas made of this last one that hangs in the kids hallway. I love it. I think it captures their personalities perfectly.
