Spring Break

It was sooo nice to have all the kids home over spring break. I LOVED it and it made me that much more anxious for summer. I am still trying to get back into the groove of our school week routine. Over spring break I was able to finally paint Natalie's bedroom pink, which I've been trying to do for at least the past three years. I'm happy to get that crossed off my to do list. The kids had a lot of fun sleeping in, staying up late, spending the day at Grandma and Grandpa's and playing with all their cousins and spending time together as a family (Thomas was able to take three days off, which was nice). We also decided to get a zoo membership again, we had one a couple of years ago. They have changed so much since we had been there last and everyone had a lot of fun. The weather was beautiful too. It was a perfect day.

The Dallas Zoo

Feeding the giraffes. Only problem was that you really couldn't get a good picture because everyone around was so excited about the giraffes. Which I couldn't blame them. It was really neat experience. We will just have to try again on a less busy day.

Natalie proclaimed that this "monkey" is her favorite. In her words "Mom, do you see this monkey? It has a pink and purple bum, oh it's my favorite." :)

Pinewood Derby

This was Ben's first Pinewood Derby. Thomas and Ben had a great time working on his car together. Johnny was even able to make his own car too, but didn't get to race it until the derby was over. That was good enough for him. Sadly, I didn't take too many pictures. It was a lot of fun and Ben was really excited that his Grandaddy Merrell was able to come to the derby. That meant a lot to him:) Thomas and Ben have already started planning Ben's car for next year. I don't know who is more excited about all this stuff, Ben or Thomas??

Waiting To Go

Here is a typical look at my kids waiting to go to school in the morning. What ever happened to watching cartoons? Oh wait, they have those on too, but are still playing on ipods and touchpads.

My Valentines

My sweet kiddos on Valentine's day. Love them. We got the boys new angry bird shirts and Thomas got Natalie a beautiful necklace (partially because she kept telling me that she knew her daddy was getting her a necklace for Valentine's day. Can't disappoint our princess.).

Ben Got His Wolf

Ben worked really hard over the winter break and was able to finish up everything he needed to do to receive his wolf badge. He received his badge at the pack meeting on February 7. 2012. Thomas and I couldn't be prouder of him.

I'm a Fashion Girl, Mom.

Natalie LOVES the make-up set that Santa brought her and I thinks she does pretty well with it for a 4yr old. Well, she is a "fashion girl" or that's at least what she tells me.

Johnny Turned 6 on January 3rd

Johnny's birthday landed on the day they went back to school after winter break. That made it extra fun for him. He was able to bring goodie bags for his friends (they won't let us bring cupcakes or treats anymore, boo!!) and got to wear a birthday crown all day. Then, he came home and saw his presents all waiting for him. Too bad he had to wait for daddy to get home before he could open them.

He had a birthday cake with my family and birthday cupcakes with Thomas' family, so he wanted ice cream sundaes on his "real" birthday. Lucky guy.

Enjoying his new ipod touch :)
