We had a wonderful, but busy Christmas Eve. The kids and I made salt dough Christmas ornaments and sugar cookies for Santa. The ornaments were so much fun to make and I think they enjoyed doing that more than the cookies. We ended the day by having a little family home evening where we read "Mortimer's Christmas Manger" (we have read this every year for the past three years) and then a little discussion about the true reason for Christmas. Then it was bath time and off to bed. Johnny and Natalie had no trouble falling asleep, but poor Ben. It was a long night for him. He was so excited for Santa to come!
